| | | ![]() Three Additional Centers Begin Clinical Testing of Multikine ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 18, 1996 -- CEL-SCI Corporation (Nasdaq: CELI) today announced that three additional medical institutions will participate in the clinical testing of an experimental new anti-cancer drug developed by CEL-SCI Corporation. Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan; The Sir Mortimer B. Davis Jewish General Hospital, Lady Davis Institute for Medical Research, Montreal, Quebec, Canada and Hamilton Regional Cancer Centre, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada will assume active roles in testing Multikine, a drug composed of a natural mixture of cytokines, or human immune system modulating proteins. Multikine will be tested in up to thirty advanced head and neck cancer patients who have previously failed treatment. The Phase I-II clinical trial will be an open label, randomized, dose-ranging study that is designed to assess optimum dose, safety, tumor response, and immune system response in patients receiving multiple courses of the drug. The study is designed to confirm positive findings made in an earlier study.
