The brochure erroneously stated that the consumption of grapefruit juice with prescription antihistamines drugs Allegra (fexofenadine) and Claritin (loratadine) could result in serious heart problems. In fact, the FDA knows of no evidence of such an interaction involving these drugs. Although advance copies of this brochure have been distributed to the press, FDA and NCL are working to ensure that corrections are made to the brochure before it is distributed to the general public. Corrected versions of the brochure will also be redistributed to those who received the advance copies.
