Prior to joining Bristol-Myers Squibb, Mr. Stuart held international management positions with Gillette, Cheseborough-Ponds and Unilever in Europe, Japan and Africa.

A native of Scotland, he graduated from Glasgow College of Technology in 1972 with a degree in business studies. He holds a post graduate diploma in marketing from New Castle-upon-Tyne Poly in the United Kingdom. He and his wife, Anne, have a son and daughter and reside in Evansville, Indiana.
