Korea Approves Maxisal (Anhydrous Crystalline Maltose) With Vitamin C For Dry Mouth

AMARILLO, TX -- November 19, 2003 -- Amarillo Biosciences Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: AMAR) (ABI) and Global Damon Pharma (GDP), ABI's Korean pharmaceutical distributor announce that Maxisal® with vitamin C has received regulatory approval for marketing in Korea. Maxisal is a pharmaceutical grade of anhydrous crystalline maltose made exclusively by Hayashibara Biochemical Laboratories of Okayama, Japan and marketed for relief of dry mouth.

Mr. D.K. Kim, President, GDP said, "We will start marketing Maxisal with vitamin C in January 2004 to patients with Sjogren's syndrome and kidney dialysis patients. GDP will be conducting a study of Maxisal in Singapore in dialysis patients. We expect Maxisal to help quench the thirst of dialysis patients and result in less fluid intake. We think Maxisal can help reduce fluid retention, a huge problem in dialysis patients." "We are delighted that GDP is our distributor in Korea and we are expanding the GDP territory to include Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brazil, Rumania, and Poland," said Dr. Joseph Cummins, President, ABI.
