Electronic Device Found Effective in Treating Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

NORTHVALE, N.J. -- March 31, 1997 -- ADM Tronics Unlimited (NASDAQ:ADMT) has developed a pulsed radio frequency therapeutic device which has received positive results in the management of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and other repetitive
stress conditions.

Recent clinical studies found objective improvement in the condition of patients after a series of treatments with the device. The results of these studies, along with other supporting data, are being compiled in preparation for submission to the FDA to seek clearance
to market in the U.S.

Called the Sonotron, the device uses non-invasive, corona discharge therapy by combining low power audio and radio waves. It is already being successfully used by doctors in Japan and Europe in the treatment of patients.

Later this month, at the European Federation of Rheumatology and Traumatology Medical Conference in Barcelona, Spain, the results of a recent clinical study in which the Sonotron proved its efficacy in the treatment of carpal tunnel and tarsal tunnel syndrome will be presented by two U.S. orthopedic surgeons who administered the six-week study of 50 patients. The inventor of the Sonotron, Dr. Alfonso Di Mino, is a recognized scientist with more than 200 inventions to his credit.
