The UK Medical Research Council (MRC) aims to improve health by promoting research into all areas of medical and related science. The Council is funded mainly by the UK Government and receives an annual Grant in aid from Parliament via the Office of Science and Technology. The MRC is a research organisation and is not able to provide medical advice to individuals.
