| | | ![]() Tylenol (Acetaminophen) To Be Available In Japan In Early Fall TOKYO, JAPAN -- July 18, 2000 -- Johnson & Johnson, the world's most comprehensive and broadly based manufacturer of healthcare products, and Takeda Chemical Industries, the largest Japan-based pharmaceutical company, today announced that Tylenol ® brand acetaminophen, the world's leading over-the-counter (OTC) analgesic, will be available in Japan beginning early this fall. Johnson & Johnson and Takeda Chemical Industries Ltd. have jointly developed four Tylenol products uniquely formulated to meet the needs of the Japanese consumer. This is the first complete range of 100 percent acetaminophen products, which meets the entire family's needs, to be introduced in Japan. Included in the introduction are: -- Tylenol Gelcaps, a unique, one-pill dose in an easy-to-swallow form. Johnson & Johnson says Tylenol is proven to have a superior safety profile relative to other over-the-counter analgesics in the Japanese market.
